Surgical guide questions

What files do you need to design a surgical guide?

A CBCT in DICOM format plus an intraoral or model scan (STL/PLY) of the arch. For edentulous cases we also use a scan of the denture or a radiographic guide. We merge them and plan in CoDiagnostiX, Exoplan, RealGuide or BlueSkyPlan.

Which systems and sleeves do you support?

All major systems: Nobel Guided, Straumann Guided, Neodent GM Guided, MIS, Dentsply, BioHorizons and universal metal/keyless sleeves. We design with the exact sleeve offset and drill protocol for your kit.

Do you design fully-guided, pilot, bone-reduction and stackable guides?

Yes — pilot and fully-guided tooth-, mucosa- and bone-supported guides, plus bone-reduction guides and stackable/multi-part guides for full-arch immediate-load cases.

How much does surgical guide design cost?

From $59 USD per implant, including a CBCT viability assessment. Multi-implant and full-arch stackable guides are quoted per case. No contracts or minimum orders.

How fast is the turnaround?

We confirm CBCT viability within 24h, then deliver the planned STL guide within 24–48h. You print it in-house on any resin printer with a validated surgical-guide resin.

Do you work as a freelance surgical guide designer for labs and clinics?

Yes. I'm a freelance dental CAD designer — you outsource single guides or a steady case flow with no contract, no software license on your side and no minimum. You keep your patients; I deliver the planned STL guide ready to print.

Can you design a stackable guide for All-on-4 immediate loading?

Yes. For full-arch immediate-load cases we design stackable / multi-part guides: a fixation base, a bone-reduction guide and an implant guide that index together, so the surgery and the immediate provisional stay aligned. Pairs with our All-on-X framework design.

Do you plan the implant positions or just design the guide?

Both. We do the full digital implant planning — prosthetically-driven positions, respecting bone, nerve and sinus — in CoDiagnostiX / Exoplan, then convert the plan into the printable guide. You approve the plan before we build the guide.

Which printer and resin should I use for the guide?

Any DLP/LCD or SLA resin printer (Formlabs, SprintRay, Anycubic, Phrozen and similar) with a biocompatible Class I surgical-guide resin. We deliver a hollow, correctly-oriented STL with the sleeve seats already at the right offset for your kit.
